
Graphic Layout Specialist

The Graphic Preflight Layout specialist is responsible for the layout and design work for organizational mailings. Operates and maintains assigned printers and peripheral equipment. This is a non-exempt position.
Accountability Reports to the Creative Design Supervisor
Core Responsibilities
Represents St. Joseph’s Indian School in a positive and professional manner when interacting with employees, vendors and external partners.
Leads by example and is a model of exemplary behavior to promote a positive working environment.
Responsibilities
Uses design and layout software – including Microsoft 365, Quadient Inspire Designer and Adobe Creative Cloud applications – to complete assigned projects.
Collaborates with Marketing and other departments/staff to design and layout letters, forms, and other related materials that meet project expectations.
Operates and maintains assigned printers and assists with RIP software in conjunction with CTP Platesetter workflows.
Maintains organized, up-to-date job files; archives and backs up completed work.
Provides assistance in other production or design areas as needed.
Performs additional duties as assigned by the Creative Design Supervisor.
Qualifications
A degree or relevant experience in graphic art or layout preferred.
Strong communication skills and high attention to detail.
Proficiency with computers, design software and print-related equipment.
Strong grammar, spelling, and organizational skills.
Physical Demands
Uses both hands and wrists repetitively for prolonged periods.
