Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated Funeral Director / Embalmer for a full-time position at our Holland, MI location. In this on-site role, you will manage all aspects of funeral service arrangements, including meeting with families to discuss and plan services, coordinating with cemeteries and clergy, and supervising the preparation and transportation of remains. You will perform embalming with precision and care, ensuring compliance with state regulations and industry standards. Additionally, you will assist with maintaining the funeral home facility and promoting a professional and compassionate environment. Qualifications
Experience in embalming, preparing remains, and restoration Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to provide compassionate guidance to grieving families Organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously Knowledge of funeral home operations, including funeral service planning and legal requirements Valid state licensure as a Funeral Director and Embalmer (or ability to obtain licensure) is required Proficiency in using technology and managing administrative tasks related to funeral service coordination is advantageous Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed Driver’s license and reliable transportation
