Job Overview The Senior Director of Clinics and Surgery Center (CSC) Business Operations provides strategic and operational leadership for the Clinics and Surgery Center Building and Operations in Minneapolis. This role partners with Fairview and UMP leadership, medical and operational leaders, physicians, and support teams to ensure efficient, high-quality, and financially sound operations. This role oversees business performance, financial planning, vendor and facility management, and cross-functional coordination to support organizational goals. The Senior Director identifies and implements opportunities for operational improvement, cost optimization, and service expansion, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with the CSC's strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

Leads cross-functional coordination with Fairview, UMP and CSC leadership to ensure seamless integration of operational, clinical, and financial workflows across the CSC.

Manage and optimize the business portfolio for the CSC.

Leads and develops high-performing teams to drive strategic execution.

Develops and refines business models that align with evolving patient needs, payer dynamics, and organizational goals.

Leads projects to promote optimal financial performance of the CSC.

Engages in business development activities collaboratively with finance and operations leadership.

Demonstrates accountability for performance and continuous professional development.

Develops and manages annual operating and capital budgets, aligning financial planning with strategic priorities and operational needs.

Manages vendor relationships and centralized support services, including facilities, valet, security, environmental services, and supply chain, ensuring service quality, cost-effectiveness, and contract compliance.

Required Qualifications

B.S./B.A. in a Medical Field, Healthcare Administration, or Nursing

5 years work experience in a health care managerial or finance role.

5 years management experience including people, processes and financial management.

5 years experience managing project and/or program budgets.

5 years experience with EMR and clinical data collection.

Preferred Qualifications

M.A./M.S. in a Medical Field or Healthcare Administration

Compensation Disclaimer The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
