Community Broadcasters operates a strong portfolio of local radio stations across the I‑Corridor of South Carolina, including markets in Florence, Sumter, and Orangeburg. Our stations deliver live, local programming and offer businesses effective marketing solutions through broadcast radio, digital advertising, events, and community partnerships. Position Overview
The Account Executive is responsible for generating advertising revenue by developing new business relationships and managing existing client accounts. This role focuses on helping local businesses grow through customized marketing campaigns utilizing radio, digital advertising, sponsorships, and promotional opportunities. This position is based in
Sumter, SC
and allows the representative to sell advertising solutions across
three South Carolina markets: Florence, Sumter, and Orangeburg. Key Responsibilities
Develop new business through prospecting, networking, and community engagement Build strong relationships with local business owners and marketing decision makers Create customized marketing campaigns using radio, digital, and promotional assets Present advertising proposals that help clients achieve measurable marketing goals Maintain consistent client contact through in-person meetings and follow-ups Manage and grow an existing book of business while developing new revenue opportunities Work collaboratively with programming, promotions, and digital teams to execute campaigns Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals Represent Community Broadcasters at local events and community functions Advertising Solutions You Will Sell
Radio advertising across multiple local stations Digital marketing solutions including display, streaming audio, and targeted advertising Event sponsorships and community promotions On-site promotions and live remote broadcasts Qualifications
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills Self‑motivated with a competitive, goal‑oriented mindset Ability to prospect and generate new business opportunities Comfortable presenting marketing ideas and proposals to clients Strong organizational and time management skills Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Preferred Experience
Media sales, advertising sales, or marketing experience Knowledge of the Sumter, Florence, or Orangeburg business community
