We are currently looking for a motivated, collaborative, and experienced International Sales Director to help expand our International Market. Reporting to our Chief Commercial Officer, this position will help build strategic relationships, deliver annual sales and profit targets, and ensure our brands stand out in a highly competitive category. The role offers a huge amount of scope to drive our brands in creative ways with the customer and stretch your account manager experience, working cross‑functionally to deliver results.
This role will include all international business outside of North America.
Key Responsibilities Business Planning
New Market and Channels Expansion: Identify and evaluate potential new distributors. Conduct market research to assess growth opportunities and market dynamics. Develop entry strategies for new geographies and channels.
Own the commercial relationship with the key retailers in the market
Lead annual joint business planning, including setting targets, forecasting, and aligning on long‑term growth strategies
Responsible for creating and implementing market‑leading, omni‑channel activation plans that are tailored to the retailer and specific Maesa brands
Collaborate with Marketing and Customer Development teams to deliver standout in‑store visibility, seasonal campaigns, and consumer experiences.
Influence internal stakeholders with robust commercial rationale and category insight
Lead cross‑functionally to unlock strong, retailer‑centric promotional plans
Negotiation
Manage promotional plans, trade budgets, and retailer margin requirements to maximize ROI
Lead cost price, trade terms, space and JBP negotiations
Analyze sales performance, competitor activity, and category trends to make data‑driven recommendations.
Forecasting/Supply Chain
Build robust and accurate forecasts that meet business expectations based on sell‑out plan to ensure exceptional service levels
Financial Responsibilities
Partner with internal Finance team to deliver sales, profit, and market‑share objectives across Fragrance, Skincare and Haircare categories
Manage monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
P&L ownership allowing you to show our ability to drive top and bottom line
Manage Gross to net controls to optimize profitability
Manage an investment plan to drive consumer awareness whilst maximizing profitability
Deliver maximum consumer engagement from trade investment
Accurately prepare financial accrual requests and implement these with the Sales team
Other Responsibilities
Achieve and exceed brand objectives and sales goals
A clear understanding of dynamics of assigned accounts and local market specifics to help set overall account strategy and priorities (assortment, merchandising, tailored trade marketing calendar)
Identify and execute business‑building initiatives to grow market shares, rankings, and profitability
Ensure a strong visual presence in‑store and on retailer.com
Forecast ability on a monthly basis and provide feedback on over‑and/or under‑delivery of goals
Assortment and Planogram work in conjunction with the Customer Development team
Manage various parts of the P&L like sales revenue, trade margins and A&P among others and will be responsible for the monthly and annual forecast planning
Strong sales, influence and collaboration skills and the ability to develop and execute sales meetings and product training for assigned accounts
Monitor and report on competitive brand launches and events
Requirements
Retail experience is essential
Minimum 15 years of experience working in Sales within Beauty Industry, experience with large mass cosmetics retailers in the local market
Leadership ability and a willingness to take responsibility and accountability
Strong business acumen and financial ability
Value integrity, personal responsibility, and entrepreneurial spirit
Strong relationship‑building skills
Team‑oriented, responsive, passion to succeed
Strong sales, influence, and collaboration skills
Ability to think both strategically and tactically
Analytically minded
Passion for digital and driving omnichannel sales strategy
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
What We Offer $130,000/yr–$150,000/yr. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This position is eligible for participation in an discretionary bonus plan based on individual and company performance.
