Cybersecurity Job Description We’re seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Intern to join our Security team for a hands‑on internship experience. This role offers exposure to AI‑specific security challenges, such as protecting machine learning models from adversarial attacks, securing AI infrastructure, and implementing AI‑enhanced threat detection. You’ll work alongside experienced cybersecurity professionals and AI engineers on real‑world projects that blend cybersecurity with AI/ML techniques. This internship is ideal for students passionate about the intersection of AI and security, providing opportunities to build skills, network, and potentially transition to full‑time roles.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in monitoring and analyzing security alerts, vulnerabilities, and potential threats to AI systems and infrastructure.

Support the development and testing of AI/ML models for anomaly detection, predictive threat analytics, and vulnerability scanning.

Conduct research on emerging cybersecurity trends, AI‑specific risks (e.g., model poisoning, data privacy), and best practices; summarize findings in reports or presentations.

Participate in incident response simulations, red teaming exercises, and compliance audits for AI deployments.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement security tools, automate processes, and enhance data protection measures.

Contribute to documentation, whitepapers, and internal knowledge bases on cybersecurity topics.

Engage in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and professional development activities to foster innovative solutions.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (must have completed at least 2 years of study).

Fundamental knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including encryption, network security, intrusion detection, and risk assessment.

Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, such as machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and their applications in security.

Proficiency in programming languages like Python, with experience in scripting for automation or data analysis.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills; ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred: Hands‑on experience with cybersecurity tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nmap), certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+), or participation in CTFs/hackathons. • Bonus: Interest in AI ethics, large language models (LLMs), or retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG).

Opportunities & Benefits (Non‑Monetary)

Hands‑on experience securing AI/ML systems, including model hardening, anomaly detection, predictive threat analytics, and vulnerability scanning

Direct mentorship from senior cybersecurity engineers, founders, and AI security specialists

Exposure to the full security lifecycle: monitoring, detection, incident response, red teaming, compliance, and hardening AI infrastructure

Collaboration with a cross‑functional team, including Product Design, Bio, AI/ML Engineering, and Infrastructure

Opportunity to build portfolio‑ready security projects, including threat models, detection pipelines, and research reports

Fast‑paced, high‑growth startup environment with rapid skill development and technical ownership

Consideration for future paid roles, advanced technical tracks, and potential long‑term placement as the company scales
