Position Overview The

Graceful Guardians Intern

supports program operations to enhance the development, coordination, and implementation of holistic services for older adults (age 60+) participating in the program.

This internship provides hands‑on experience in case management support, social programming, educational workshops, outreach, and community engagement. Interns gain meaningful exposure to program development and direct service within a mission‑driven nonprofit setting.

Key Responsibilities Program Implementation Assist the Program Coordinator with the implementation of Graceful Guardians workshops and social activities

Maintain accurate and organized member documentation

Support creation of a monthly program newsletter highlighting program progress and member engagement

Document member participation within the case management system

Assist with program development efforts, including grant support, outcome tracking, evaluation activities, and funder reporting

Direct Assistance to Older Adults Conduct phone outreach to current and prospective members

Provide program information and connect members to services

Research and gather community resources to support referrals

Community Partnerships & Outreach Support collaboration with community partners to strengthen the Graceful Guardians support network

Assist in outreach efforts to expand program visibility

Qualifications Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program in

Social Work, Public Health, Gerontology, or a related field

(preferred)

Demonstrates dependability and follows through on assigned tasks

Strong interest in working with the older adult (60+) population

Able to work in person during weekday hours, including Tuesdays

Required Skills Strong communication and organizational skills

Self‑motivated and proactive

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

This internship may be eligible for compensation through

STL Youth Jobs .

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must be between the ages of

16–24

Internship may begin as early as

June 1

Up to

150 hours

may be compensated at

$15/hour
