ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical assistance to law enforcement and social-service agencies with issues related to partnership opportunities and training inquiries
Liaise with law enforcement and social-service agencies to help access and share resources
Organize partner information and maintain working files containing documentation of all activities
Perform searches in open source and social media platforms
Support with maintaining updated information in various databases
Assist with NCMEC data projects
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
Completed at least two (2) years of college with a concentration in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology or a related field
Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Demonstrated ability to analyze written materials
Ability to perform searches in open source and social media platforms
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive information
SALARY Internships are unpaid; however, Interns will have the opportunity to acquire knowledge and hands‑on experience and will receive academic credit through an approved program of their college/university. Interns will be reimbursed for parking or public transportation expenses.
HOURS The time commitment is about 15 hours per week, between 9:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. ET, Monday through Friday; exact schedule is based on intern availability. Based on necessity and the intern performance, there may be the opportunity to work over the course of multiple semesters/seasons. Interns will be excused to attend internship program functions and for academic holidays or vacations.
