La Grande Maison Lumière is a luxury event venue that hosts weddings, corporate events, and social celebrations. We focus on creating exceptional client experiences while building strong relationships in the local community.

Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development & Brand Visibility Intern to join our team. This is a hands‑on learning role that combines marketing, sales, event operations, and community engagement. The intern will help promote the venue, support client outreach, assist with event setup and tear‑down, and contribute to marketing and partnership projects.

The position is ideal for someone interested in marketing, events, or small‑business operations who wants real experience connecting strategy with execution. Some weekend hours will be required for event support.

Responsibilities Marketing & Content Creation (30%)

Create social media content that highlights the venue and client experiences.

Help design email campaigns, digital resources, and promotional materials.

Research ways to improve online visibility and engagement.

Track and report on social media activity.

Reach out to event planners, vendors, and businesses to introduce the venue.

Support client follow‑ups and help prepare proposals.

Maintain and update contact information in the CRM system.

Assist with sales materials and client meetings.

Community Engagement (20%)

Attend networking events, expos, and meetings to represent the venue.

Build relationships with vendors and community partners.

Capture photos or videos from events for marketing use.

Help organize vendor mixers or small business gatherings.

Event Operations (15%)

Assist with event day setup and tear‑down, ensuring the space is client‑ready.

Provide on‑site help during events as assigned.

Special Projects (10%)

Lead or assist with a short marketing or outreach campaign.

Contribute to an influencer or vendor event.

Present campaign results and lessons learned to the team.

Requirements Qualifications

Current student or recent graduate in marketing, business, communications, or hospitality.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Comfortable using social media and design tools like Canva.

Organized, dependable, and willing to learn.

Professional appearance and demeanor.

Able to work some weekends for events.

Hands‑on experience in marketing, sales, and event management.

Mentorship from business owners with experience in entrepreneurship and leadership.
