Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates by reviewing project plans, specifications, and bid documents in Louisville, KY
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, pricing analysis, and value engineering
Use estimating software, including PlanSwift and other industry-standard estimating tools such as Bluebeam
Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to maximize profitability
Collaborate with project managers to establish and control project budgets
Review contracts, scope of work, and change orders to ensure financial accuracy
Maintain organized and accurate bid documentation
Proactively pursue new commercial construction opportunities
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors
Contribute to strategic growth within the Louisville commercial construction market
Travel locally to job sites as needed

5 to 10 years of experience in the construction industry with residential and or commercial estimating experience
Strong knowledge of construction estimating, bidding, and preconstruction processes
Experience with PlanSwift required
Bluebeam experience preferred, but not mandatory
Solid understanding of construction methods, budgeting, and project management principles
Proven ability to perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis accurately
Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
Knowledge of the Louisville, KY construction market is preferred
Construction site experience preferred
Self-motivated professional with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
