Performs professional, administrative, and technical work in the development and execution of training for the Board of Elections. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Education and Outreach Manager. Duties and Responsibilities

Designs and develops training programs for election officials; Conducts training needs assessments to enhance developed training programs; Develops training curriculum and maintains training modules; Develops, designs, and maintains all election official instructional materials; Designs, maintains, and implements E-Learning solutions for election official training; Tracks the completion of required trainings and assists election officials during the process; Researches new and innovative ways to make election training portable, electronic, and verifiable; Acquires and sets up adequate locations for the conduct of in-person trainings; Conducts in-person election official trainings as required by supervisory staff; Manages and maintains in-house training facilities and equipment; Maintains the election official resources website; Assigns election officials to polling places for Early Voting and Election Day; Performs other administrative tasks relevant to the work performed. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Thorough knowledge of North Carolina statues and Board of Elections guidelines governing the elections process and of the State Election Information Management System (SEIMS) software; Thorough knowledge and skilled use of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite; General knowledge of administrative principles and practices; Ability to coordinate with other staff and election officials; Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with County officials, co-workers, and the public; Ability to prepare and present complex information articulately to large groups of people. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Graduation from a four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in Education, Political Science, Communications, Computer Science, and two years of training experience in the specialty area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications
