Technical Producer

to lead technical strategy and execution across complex, multi-format live events. POSITION SUMMARY The Technical Producer is a senior technical role responsible for end-to-end technical vision, planning, and execution across large-scale, complex event programs. This role oversees multiple event types within a single engagement—such as keynotes, expos, breakout sessions, evening events, and hybrid components—ensuring technical cohesion, efficiency, and excellence throughout. Acting as the primary client-facing technical authority, the Technical Producer leads and coordinates Technical Directors, Production Managers, Coordinators, and discipline-specific Specialists. This role owns technical workflows, budget strategy across core technical disciplines, and the removal of operational bottlenecks to ensure seamless delivery from concept through live execution The Technical Producer works in close collaboration with the Executive Producer and Executive Creative Director, serving as part of the core leadership team for large-scale projects. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 7+ years of experience in technical production for large-scale live events, conferences, or experiential programs Proven expertise managing multiple event formats within a single complex program Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate multiple Technical Directors, Production Managers, and discipline-specific Specialists Deep understanding of technical production systems and workflows across audio, video, lighting, rigging, scenic, and show control Strong budget ownership experience across technical production line items Advanced communication, organizational, and leadership skills Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in fast-paced, high-pressure environments Hands-on experience with CAD file management, operation and interpretation PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience supporting global or multi-city event programs Background working with technology, corporate, or brand-driven clients Familiarity with production management, budgeting, and scheduling software Experience with hybrid, broadcast, or high-production-value keynote environments CORE COMPETENCIES Technical leadership across complex event ecosystems Client-facing technical communication and advisory Vendor and partner alignment Budget strategy and financial accountability Workflow optimization and bottleneck removal Risk assessment and contingency planning Cross-functional collaboration
