Funeral Director or Intern - PA. Full time. Salary $53,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year. Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory, Hollidaysburg, PA. We are a growing family owned funeral home & crematory that is seeking a PA Licensed Funeral Director or Intern to serve families of all faiths. Our FD is detail oriented, professional, and capable of performing or learning all aspects of funeral directing.
Responsibilities Primary duties include, but are not limited to: executive-level customer care, at-need and pre-need arrangement conferences, conducting funerals, embalming, dressing, cosmetic work, tending visitations, assisting with removals, and completing all necessary paperwork. Complete customer satisfaction is paramount.
Our FD must be kind, personable, neat, energetic, and must be a team player.
Job Prerequisites
Pass pre-employment drug test and periodic testing.
PA Funeral Director’s license or, for Intern, completed National Board exam.
Professional appearance based on traditional expectations.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Valid PA driver’s license with a safe and responsible driving record.
Thorough understanding of PA Funeral Law.
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, familiar with EDRS and database software.
Ability to do heavy lifting.
