
Global Brand and Communications Project Intern (Consumer and Business) - 2026 St

As a business partner for the organization, the Global Communications team is a thought partner and advisor to cross‑functional partners. Our areas of focus include external comms, overall communications strategy, launch planning, messaging, narrative development, proactive and reactive media relations and more!
The Consumer and Business Communications team works to showcase how TikTok is a global platform for discovery that empowers our community to shape culture, spark creativity, and bring joy to audiences around the world.
As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short‑term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real‑world experience. You will gain practical skills through on‑the‑job learning in a fast‑paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests.

Responsibilities
Throughout your internship, you'll support and learn about a range of key Comms functions, including:
Planning proactive PR campaigns
Developing company narrative and messaging
Engaging with reporters proactively + reactively
Preparing spokespeople for interviews + events
Providing strategic counsel to the business
Working directly with creators and partners on announcements, projects, media opportunities
Track industry and competitive news to ensure the Global Comms team and XFN partners are aware of the latest media cycles
Support additional projects/initiatives within the team as needed
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program (preferred majors: Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Business Administration, or related fields).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time‑management abilities, able to prioritize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Basic analytical skills, with familiarity in synthesizing media/social trends or industry news (experience with tools like Excel, Tableau, or social listening platforms is a bonus).
Preferred Qualifications
Proactive team player with a collaborative and creative mindset, comfortable working across cross‑functional teams (e.g., Content, Social, Creators) and adapting to dynamic project needs.
Passion for brand communications, media, and digital platforms (knowledge of TikTok’s ecosystem or global media landscapes is highly desirable).
Knowledge/experience across Entertainment, Sports, Lifestyle a plus.

The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $25- $25.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year). Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance.
