Event Marketing Manager, Amazon Leo Global Marketing

Amazon, Arlington, VA, United States

Job Overview At Amazon, we’re inventing on behalf of customers, and with Amazon Leo, we’re redefining what global connectivity looks like. Our mission is to deliver fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world through a constellation of low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites. Every system we build helps connect people to education, healthcare, opportunity, and each other.

Role Summary Build and scale Amazon Leo's satellite launch viewing hospitality program—transforming launch events into strategic VIP experiences that accelerate enterprise pipeline and strengthen partner relationships. You'll own execution strategy for this high‑visibility program while providing operational backbone support across Leo's global event marketing portfolio. As our launch event owner, you'll define targeting, creative programming, and measurement frameworks for a growing cadence of satellite launches, and enable team velocity through day‑to‑day operational support—PO management, vendor coordination, logistics project management—across trade shows, conferences, and consumer marketing activations.

Key Job Responsibilities Strategic Ownership & Program Development

Own end-to-end strategy and execution for Leo's satellite launch viewing hospitality program, managing launch viewing events with executive customers, partners, regulators, media, and internal stakeholders

Define and evolve the launch event experience, including guest targeting, content programming, meeting facilitation, hospitality, and post‑event engagement

Develop measurement frameworks that connect launch event activities to business outcomes including lead generation, stakeholder engagement scores, and sales acceleration

Execution & Operations

Manage all launch event logistics including guest registration, security clearance coordination, vendor management, on‑site event support, and stakeholder communication

Provide operational backbone support across Leo's global event portfolio, including opening purchase orders, managing vendor relationships, and project managing day‑to‑day logistics to enable team velocity

Coordinate cross‑functional collaboration with PR, Business Development, Sales, Product Marketing, and Creative teams to ensure seamless event execution and alignment with broader marketing objectives and brand standards

Implement and manage event technology to optimize attendee experience and data capture

Manage event budgets and vendor contracts, making trade‑offs between time, quality, and resources while maintaining fiscal responsibility

Export Control Requirement Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

A Day in the Life You might start by reviewing customer nominations for an upcoming launch, validating opportunities with Sales leads before coordinating with launch provider partners on manifest changes and scheduling. You'll propose new ideas to enhance our launch viewing program, check and update the event marketing project tracker for to-dos across the global portfolio, and sync with colleagues on latest updates. Throughout the week, you'll update event budgets and goal tracking, intake new event ideas from Sales, propose improvements for self‑service event tooling programs, and ingest analytics from event marketing. One day you're problem‑solving vendor logistics; the next you're building measurement frameworks or on‑site at a launch event managing VIP experiences—always balancing hands‑on execution with strategic program development.

About the Team You'll join Leo Central Events, a 3‑person team recognized across the organization for earning trust and delivering results. Our mission: drive measurable business impact through strategic event execution. As Leo advances, we’re building a well‑run operation to accelerate customer pipeline and amplify consumer awareness. You'll build programs from scratch, gain executive exposure, and work across global markets.
