The Studio Intern program at Mead Quin Interiors is a paid, temporary internship designed for students and recent graduates pursuing careers in interior design. Reporting to the Studio Director, the intern will gain hands‑on experience supporting the design team, learning about materials, assisting with sourcing, and contributing to live project workflows. This internship is an opportunity for emerging designers to gain practical experience, develop professional skills, and build their industry network. LEARNING & RESPONSIBILITIES
Design Exposure & Support:
Assist with maintaining and organizing the design library. Support the team in fabric and product sourcing, preparing sample boards. Help with design documentation, digital presentations, and mood boards. Assist the team with any drafting, drawing needs for Interior architecture or furnishings. Attend vendor presentations to observe professional design processes.
Professional Development & Training:
Receive mentorship from designers and participate in design critiques. Gain exposure to business operations within a high‑end design studio. Learn professional software tools such as AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Studio Designer. Participate in weekly learning sessions focused on industry skills.
Assist with studio organization, vendor coordination, and sample returns. Support preparation for presentations, client meetings, and events. Contribute to social media, blog, or marketing initiatives if applicable. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Current student or recent graduate in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. Passion for high‑end residential design and an eagerness to learn. Proficiency (or willingness to learn) AutoCAD, Photoshop, and design software. Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team. Previous internship or studio experience preferred, but not required. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Paid internship: $30/hourly Duration: 6 months, part-time (at least 20 hours per week) Networking & mentorship from experienced interior designers. Exposure to real‑world projects, vendors, and industry connections. Opportunities for full‑time employment consideration upon completion.
