Koniag IT Systems, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior Artificial Intelligence/Data Subject Matter Expert with a TS/SCI security clearance to support KITS and our government customer at Langley Air Force Base, VA.

TheSenior AI/Data Subject MatterExpertprovidesclassified AI and data integration support across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and AFSCI environments. This position is essential tomaintainingcontinuous classified operations support for HQ ACC/A2 and ISR Wing mission sets.Candidateswill work on-site at Joint Base Langley-Eustis as part of a two-person cleared team ensuring uninterrupted classified environment coverage while developing and deploying AI/RPA solutions that directlyimpactintelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance operations.

This is not a remote position. This is not a periodic advisory role.Candidateswill be embedded daily with ACC directorates, working in classified spaces, solvingreal operationalchallenges with AI and automation technologies.

Essential Job Functions:

Provide technical advisory services on AI and RPA integration within SIPRNet and AFSCI environments

Coordinate with HQ ACC/A2 leadership on classified AI capability development and deployment strategies

Advise on security compliance, data governance, and technical feasibility for classified AI applications

Participate in classified technical exchanges, working groups, and planning forums

Classified Solution Development:

Lead AI and RPA workflow discovery sessions with ISR Wing personnel in classified environments

Design, prototype, and deploy AI/ML solutions addressing intelligence analysis, data fusion, and mission planning workflows

Develop automation solutions using enterprise-approved platforms within classified networks

Conduct iterative user validation cycles with operational intelligence personnel

Transitionvalidatedsolutions into operational use with complete technical documentation

Provide Tier 2 technical support for AI tools and platformsoperatingon SIPRNet and AFSCI networks

Troubleshoot complex technical issues requiring classified environment access

Coordinate with platform vendors on behalf of classified users

Resolve escalated support requests from ISR Wings and HQ staff

Maintain on-site presence at JBLE during normal duty hours as part of theminimumtwo-cleared-personnel requirement

Enable seamless coverage for HQ ACC/A2 and ISR Wing support without operational gaps

Coordinate with the second Senior AI/Data SME to ensure continuous classified environment availability

Workspace:

Government-provided office space in secure facility; access to NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and collaboration tools

Classified Work:

Regular access to classified environments (SIPRNet, AFSCI)requiredfor coordination and stakeholder engagement

Travel Requirements:

Frequency: Noneat this time; however subject to change

Physical Demands:

Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer workstation

Visual acuity for detailed technical work and data analysis

Manual dexterity for typing, coding, and operating computer equipment

Schedule and Availability:

Core Hours:0800-1700 EST, Monday-Friday), with occasional extended hours to meet mission deadlines or support operational events

Flexibility:

Occasional early morning or evening meetings to accommodate wing schedules across time zones

Surge Periods:

Increased hours during major milestones, events, or exercises (with advance notice)

On-Call:

Notrequired, but responsiveness to urgent issues expected (email/phone within 4 hours during duty hours)

Telework:

No telework eligibility for unclassified administrative tasks; all classified work must be performed on-site in approved facilities

Security Environment:

Work with classified information up to Top Secret/SCI level

Compliance with OPSEC, CUI handling, and classification protocols

Subject to security inspections, audits, and continuous evaluation

Adherence to base access, badge, and facility security requirements

Minimum Qualifications, Certifications, and Platform Credentials:

Required Qualifications:

Security Clearance:

Active TS/SCI clearance that is current and in-scope at contract start date

No interim clearances accepted

Must be eligible for AFSCI access

Experience:

5+ yearsof hands-on experience with classified AI and data integration acrossNIPRNet, SIPRNet, and AFSCI environments

Direct operational experience working within SIPRNet and AFSCI networks (not just policy knowledge)Proventrack recorddeveloping or deploying AI/ML solutions in DoD classified environments

Experience supporting intelligence community missions or ISR operations preferred

Certifications:

CompTIA Security+(DoD 8140.03 baseline requirement) –Required

CISSP–Strongly Preferred

Proficiencywith AI/ML frameworks and tools approved for classified DoD use

Understanding of data architecture, integration patterns, and governance within classified networks

Familiarity with RPA platforms (UiPath, Microsoft Power Automate, or equivalent)

Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity standards, data handling procedures, and accreditation processes for classified systems

Preferred Qualifications:

AI Engineer certification or equivalent advanced credential

Experience withAdvana,AskSage, or other DoD enterprise AI platforms

Background supporting Air Force ISR Wings or ACC directorates

Experience with GIDE (Global Information Dominance Experiments) or similar multi-domain intelligence integration efforts

Familiarity with DCWF (Defense Cyber Workforce Framework) work role 661 standards

Previouswork supporting organizational change management or user adoption campaigns
