Overview
Home of the Meijer LPGA Classic, Blythefield has stood the test of time as a venerable Club in West Michigan. Founded in 1928, Blythefield has hosted national level tournaments with participation by many of the greatest names in golf including Walter Hagan, Gary Player, Arnold Palmer, Sam Snead, and more recently Ricky Fowler, Lexi Thompson, Brooke Henderson, Nelly Korda, Jennifer Kupcho, Leona Maguire and all the LPGA Stars!
The Club completed a $3.4 million golf course renovation in 2021 cementing its' position as the premier golf course in West Michigan and beyond! The renovation is highlighted by the rebuilding of all tees, both lengthening and shortening the options for players of all levels, new bunkering with the Better Billy Bunker system, expansion and drainage of all greens, a new practice putting green as well as a new short game area. Along with the championship course, Blythefield offers swimming, tennis, fitness, event spaces for groups up to 300. The Club just completed a clubhouse renovation in 2023.
Blythefield Country Club is seeking a detail-oriented individual with a passion for customer service. Candidates should be able to work various shifts to include weekends and holidays. Previous experience in a country club or golf club setting is desired but not required.
Position is seasonal from April through October (Flexible). Summer employment candidates will also be considered.
This is an hourly 20‑40 hour position per week depending on candidates' availability.
Experience Required Preferred Skills and Experience
Excellent verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of computers and Point of Sale System
Advanced organizational and communication skills
Enthusiasm for customer service
PGA Member / Apprentice preferred, but not required
Knowledge of the game of golf is preferred, but not required
Essential Responsibilities
Opening and Closing Procedures of Golf Shop
Booking Tee Times with Online Software
Answering Phones
Checking in Members / Guests
Transactions: Merchandise / Daily Green Fees
Merchandising and Receiving Inventory
Ability and willingness to present professionalism
Communication between other departments
Take accurate daily records
Clean and maintain Golf Shop and supporting areas
