Job Description – Complex Director of Group Sales – Hilton San Francisco Union Square and Parc 55 Hotel (Job Number: HOT0CE0G)

Work Location Hilton San Francisco – Union Square, 333 O'Farrell Street, San Francisco, CA 94102.

Responsibilities

Lead the group sales team and maximize group revenues.

Deploy business strategies that are creative, dynamic, and impactful toward achieving the hotel’s annual group rooms and group banquets budget and crossover targets.

Oversee commercial strategies for the group sales team, improving performance by connecting strategy and business processes.

Set deployment, team composition, and cadence of activities using a predictive and prescriptive approach.

Contribute to the hotel’s Annual Multi-Year Strategic Intentions and Commercial Strategy in partnership with the hotel commercial leadership team and regional sales, revenue and marketing support.

Directly accountable for setting strategy and delivery of the hotel’s sales targets including direct selling revenue streams such as group rooms and group banquets.

Work with Hotel’s Commercial Leadership to ensure Business Review Guidelines and Group Pricing & Rate Quotation Strategies maximize pricing components and achieve positive group market share.

Align sales activities and outcomes with optimal mix, contribute to accurate revenue forecasts, and execute strategies for different demand periods and group pricing targets.

Understand and contribute to the maximization of profits in line with GOP and EBITDA targets.

Operate within departmental expense budget and forecasts.

Develop knowledge of competitors and market activity.

Leadership

Lead daily and weekly business review and sales strategy meetings.

Manage and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual APEX performance process with eligible sales team members.

Collaborate with DOSM to contribute to the commercial strategy plan pertaining to group sales, socialize and amend the plan consistently.

Develop and oversee hotel’s sales site visit strategies and approaches.

Consistently conform to Hilton brand standards and corporate identity and utilize all communication tools.

Recruit and retain all group sales roles.

Lead, engage, and develop sales team members, including ongoing performance development and Career Development Plans.

Conduct performance reviews for all direct reports and provide feedback for dotted line reports, including:

Group Sales

Business Transient Sales

Leisure Sales

Catering Sales

Contract/PERM Sales

Facilitate and lead a culture aligned with Hilton’s DEI and ESG enterprise goals.

Ownership, Customer, and Stakeholder Relations

Contribute to performance and commercial activity reporting for hotels (performance status communication and response plans).

Liaise with Hilton Worldwide Sales toward demand and conversion generation.

Build strong relationships with CVB and 3rd‑party travel partners.

Maintain high level of customer engagement, supporting the team’s site visits and pre‑convention meetings and sales managers’ sales travel into market.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Minimum of 3 years in hospitality sales & marketing leadership.

Minimum of 3 years cross‑functional experience in hotel management or related industry.

Additional/advanced degree coursework in business administration, marketing, and communications is helpful.

Adaptable experience with business strategy, planning, and business plan development.

Ability to speak multiple languages.

Multiple Brand experience.

Proficiency in Delphi FDC preferred.

Compensation The compensation range for this role is $175,000 - $210,000 and is based on applicable experience and location.
