$50,000 – $65,000 per year (depending on experience)

Position Summary We are seeking a

detail-oriented and proactive Loan Processor

to join our team in Michigan City, Indiana. This role will support the lending team by managing the loan processing workflow from application through closing while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have

strong loan origination experience, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to analyze financial information

to support lending decisions. This position is well suited for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, is willing to

step in and support multiple areas of the business , and is interested in

growing into a leadership role over time .

Key Responsibilities

Process loan applications from origination through closing, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation

Support the lending team by gathering, reviewing, and verifying financial documents and credit information

Prepare and organize financial reports and loan analysis documentation to assist with underwriting and decision-making

Maintain accurate loan files and ensure compliance with lending policies and regulatory requirements

Utilize Excel to track loan data, perform financial analysis, and create reporting tools

Communicate with borrowers, lenders, and internal teams to obtain necessary information and keep loan files moving forward

Assist with loan documentation, closing preparation, and follow-up activities

Support other operational or administrative functions as needed to help the team succeed

Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase operational efficiency

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in loan processing, lending support, or a similar financial services role

Experience with loan origination processes and documentation

Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data organization and reporting

Ability to review and compile financial information and reporting for lending decisions

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple loan files simultaneously

Excellent communication and organizational skillsTeam-oriented professional willing to step in and support other departments when needed
