A global trading company in the Houston, TX area is looking for an experienced
Sales Representative
candidate. The ideal candidate will have 1) Resin/Polymer/Plastics products sales experience. 2) Trading or Import/Export experience, 3) has Bachelor’s degree. This is a full-time / exempt position with a great benefits package.
Responsibilities
Advance the business in relation to sales of Resin/Polymer/Plastics products
Prepare sales action plans and schedules
Develop working relationships with clients (current & new)
Arrange meetings with clients and prepare estimates/proposals
Sustain sales activity reports and records
Answer to sales inquiries or concerns by phone, electronically or in person
Maintain a degree of personal and business ethic
Conduct market and client research and analysis as needed
Attend sales events - Trade Shows and exhibits.
Observe competitors, market conditions and product development
Requirements
At least 3 years of sales experience in the industrial manufacturing industry
Must have 4 years college degree (Bachelor’s degree) in Business, Chemistry, Material Science, or related field
Resin/Polymer/Plastics industry experience
Background in related in distribution, trading, or Resin/Chemical industries
Basic knowledge of Incoterms, currency conversion, and other conversion rates
Proficient in MS Office suite
Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
Disciplined, Focused, and Independent
Strong work ethic and goal oriented
Able to travel 50% or more
Valid state issued driver's license with clear record
Understanding of sales performance metrics
This position includes working in a manufacturing and/or warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
