Love capturing live moments? Obsessed with short‑form video? Always have your phone in your hand? We're looking for a creative Social Media Specialist to help bring the Washington Pavilion and our family of brands to life online.

From Broadway musicals and local theatre to music festivals, museum programming and more, this role supports day‑to‑day organic social media content across a dynamic portfolio of brands. You’ll help tell the stories of the Washington Pavilion, Lallycooler Music Festival, Sioux Falls Orpheum Theater Center, Spotlight Theatre Company, Sioux Falls Municipal Band, The Lodge Bar & Grill, SculptureWalk and more, across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.

If you’re creative, organized and excited to help us connect thousands of people to arts, culture and unforgettable experiences, we’d love to meet you. This full‑time position is primarily weekday daytime hours with frequent evening and weekend event support required.

What You’ll Do Content Planning & Coordination

Facilitate monthly meetings with brand stakeholders to gather content needs and priorities

Take the lead in creating, posting and managing weekly social content calendars

Maintain organized social media files and asset libraries

Perform background research as needed

Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve content relevance and engagement

Content Creation & Publishing

Produce and edit video, photography and graphics content

Coordinate visual asset support as needed with internal designers or external partners

Draft captions and calls to action aligned with brand voice

Schedule and publish posts across all platforms

Attend event and weekend events to capture, edit and post content as assigned

Community Engagement

Monitor comments, direct messages and tagged content daily across all brand channels

Respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner

Escalate sensitive or complex issues to marketing leadership

Monitor social conversations and flag opportunities or concerns

Growth & Performance Support

Track follower growth and engagement metrics by brand and platform

Assist with post boosting within approved budget guidelines

Support monthly reporting on social media performance across all brand platforms

Identify content types that perform well and share observations

Support special projects and campaigns as assigned

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications or related field

1‑2 years of branded social media experience (internships welcome)

Strong writing, photography and video editing skills

Highly organized and detail oriented

Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, multi‑brand environment
