An Inside Sales Representative - OEM performs a variety of duties to support OEM Sales to meet and exceed overall company sales goals. An Inside Sales Rep provides customer service to customers, and other CDC team members globally, as needed.
Requirements
Act as a resource for customers, providing customer service and technical support in an effective, timely and pleasant manner
Receive customer inquiries and review specifications, drawings and requirements to prepare quotations
Follow up on open quotes and other activities in a timely manner and report to Director of OEM
Assist with mining and cultivating new opportunities including market research to define new applications and prospective customers
Contact prospective customers to determine business potential
Act as a liaison between engineering / estimating and sales team to complete the sales process
Work with Outside Sales and other CDC team members to maintain up-to-date information regarding status of customer activities to effectively serve customers
Perform other duties as assigned, based on workload and business need
Minimal travel may be required
Education and Experience
Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering preferred
1-year sales experience in a company selling industrial products, technical industrial sales experience preferred
Technical / Function Specific
Working knowledge of company products, applications, installation instructions and product-related procedures
Ability to read blueprints
Intermediate math skills
Intermediate reading skills
Excellent verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of computers sufficient to successfully use company ERP system, Microsoft Windows and Office

Ability to stay on task and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines

Sufficient manual dexterity to successfully use a computer and telephone
Ability to sit for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per day, though possibly more
Sometimes required to stand and/or walk, up to 1 hour per day, and make occasional trips from the office area to the manufacturing area
Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment when in the manufacturing area, including, but not limited to, safety glasses and safety shoes
