Salesperson Job Description
Douglas Water Conditioning is looking to hire a Water Treatment Salesperson to join its team. We are a leader in the water treatment industry with over 50 years of experience specializing in water treatment systems, drinking water systems, bottled water, softener salt, etc., and we are affiliated with Costco. Douglas Water Conditioning has a loyal customer base and we are extremely successful at providing stable careers for our employees and problem free water for our customers.
Reports To All Managing Partners
Job Responsibilities
Serves customers by selling products and meeting customer needs.
Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Skills And Qualifications
Able to quickly become knowledgeable in company product line.
Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills.
Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills.
Must be available to attend trade shows, road shows, and cover assigned floor time.
Must be available to meet with potential customers for evening and/or weekend appointments.
Education High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Compensation Status
Salary during initial training period + Commission
After training period, commission only based on company commission structure
