ABOUT THE ROLE The Property Tax Analyst will bridge the gap as a dedicated tax resource for internal identification, preparation, and administration of real and personal property tax appeals. This position will be responsible for analyzing market data, conducting appraisals using cost/income/sales approaches, and file appeals to reduce property tax liabilities, and work with tax authorities to ensure equitable assessments. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with the administrative process of property tax appeals and document management in WELL systems
Process data entry into WELL systems and manage data capture for periodical reports to internal stakeholders and external customers
Manage the assessment, valuation, and legal challenge of property taxes for real or personal property
Perform independent market, income, and cost analysis to determine fair market value
Identify over-assessed properties, file tax appeals, and negotiate with taxing authorities
Review tax assessments, track appeal status, and ensure accurate tax projections for budgeting
Prepare detailed valuation reports, support documentation, and evidence for hearings
Communicate with internal stakeholders, operators, attorneys, and consultants regarding assessment discrepancies
Analyze market data, conduct appraisals using cost/income/sales approaches

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2-3 years relevant work experience
OneSource or Optimus/iTam property tax software experience preferred or related software/database knowledge
Knowledge of property tax assessment methods and ability to use Excel
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Proficiency in data management and reporting
Knowledge of property tax regulations, valuation and compliance preferred
CMI preferred
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, drug screening, and verification of employment, education, and other credentials relevant to the position.
