Residential Leasing Specialist - Temporary
MILLAN ENTERPRISES is seeking a polished, personable, and highly organized Residential Leasing Specialist to lead all residential property showings across our portfolio. This field-based role is instrumental in driving leasing success by coordinating and conducting in-person tours while delivering a best-in‑class experience to prospective tenants.
Operating from our centralized office, this position is dedicated to showings and first impressions. It requires close collaboration with the property management teams to ensure units are show‑ready, schedules are efficiently managed, and follow-up communication is prompt and informative.
Success in this role demands strong organizational skills, impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion. This position is being offered as a temporary role with the potential to transition into a full‑time position based on performance and business needs.
Duties & Responsibilities Leasing & Customer Experience
Serve as the primary point of contact for all in‑person residential property showings across our multi‑family and single‑family portfolios.
Manage the Leasing CRM by responding to leads via phone, email, and text message; handle guest cards.
Conduct property tours, selling the value of the property, key features, and amenities to convert leads into applicants.
Provide timely, professional follow‑up to all prospects.
Represent Millan Enterprises with a polished, courteous, and knowledgeable demeanor.
Scheduling & Coordination
Maintain and optimize the showing calendar, grouping showings geographically when possible.
Coordinate with property managers and maintenance teams to ensure units are clean, staged, and show‑ready.
Administrative Support
Track lead interactions in AppFolio or designated CRM platform.
Pre‑screen prospects to determine their requirements.
Execute lease contracts and assist with leasing paperwork as needed.
Monitor reports to analyze weekly traffic trends, measurable KPIs, and lease performance.
Conduct market surveys as required.
Conduct pre‑move‑in inspections, document any existing damage, and take photos.
Welcome new tenants and provide full orientation if needed.
Contact tenants after move‑in to ensure their experience was optimal and report all details to supervisor.
Understand and comply with Fair Housing, ADA, and related leasing regulations.
Property Presentation & Standards
Maintain the day‑to‑day appearance and presentation of assigned properties, both interior and exterior, including light touch‑ups and cleaning tasks when on site.
Submit work orders for any maintenance work beyond the scope of a leasing specialist.
Education & Training
High School or GED equivalent.
College or Associate degree not required.
Knowledge & Experience
Experience working in property management or leasing is a must.
Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws.
Experience in sales.
Proficiency in Google Suites.
Strong customer service skills.
Strong understanding of business operations.
Skills & Abilities
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills—both verbal and written.
Strong organizational and time management skills; must excel at multitasking.
High emotional intelligence with a customer‑first mindset.
Self‑starter who is proactive, punctual, and dependable.
Ability to thrive in a mobile, field‑based position with minimal supervision.
Sales acumen and ability to confidently convert prospects to applicants.
Working Conditions Work Environment: Office
Hours / Shifts: Full Time; Monday–Friday; occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on operational needs.
Compensation & Benefits Salary: $22 – $26 per hour, based on experience.
