Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative
to join our growing small animal practice in
Columbia, South Carolina .

progressive small animal veterinary medicine
with a focus on compassionate patient care, modern treatment options, and exceptional service for pet owners. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced veterinary hospital, supporting clients and patients, and keeping daily operations running smoothly.

Veterinary Receptionist Responsibilities
Greet clients and patients and create a welcoming front desk experience
Schedule appointments and manage the daily hospital schedule
Answer phone calls and respond to client questions about services, appointments, and patient needs
Perform
initial triage of patient concerns , including urgent or emergent cases
Process patient check-in and check-out efficiently
Handle
billing, invoices, and payment transactions
Manage incoming and outgoing
emails and text communications
Maintain accurate
client and patient records in practice management software
Keep the reception area organized and presentable
Escalate complex questions or concerns to veterinarians or senior staff when appropriate
Qualifications
Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a veterinary hospital or animal clinic preferred
Strong
client service and communication skills
Ability to work efficiently in a
fast-paced veterinary environment
Comfortable handling
multi-line phone systems and scheduling software
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Positive attitude and willingness to support the hospital team
