We are looking for a motivated and relationship-driven Sales Specialist to help strengthen our presence in higher education across Switzerland and Baden Württemberg. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded professional who enjoys working closely with academics, identifying growth opportunities, and contributing to the future of learning.

The Role As Sales Specialist, you will represent Pearson in the academic market and build strong partnerships with university lecturers, faculty members, and higher education institutions. You will advise educators on the most suitable teaching and learning materials for their courses, while also promoting Pearson’s growing portfolio of digital solutions.

This role offers a high degree of autonomy and variety, making it ideal for someone who enjoys combining consultative selling, academic engagement, and business development in a dynamic international environment.

Key Responsibilities

Represent Pearson and advise university lecturers and faculty members on course materials that best support their teaching and assessment needs

Promote titles from Pearson’s English, French, and German-language textbook portfolios

Identify new subject areas, courses, and adoption opportunities within your assigned territory

Provide lecturers with access to Pearson content for evaluation and review

Promote Pearson’s online tutorial and digital learning solutions, supporting academic staff in their integration and implementation

Build and maintain strong customer relationships across the higher education landscape

Gather market insights and customer feedback, and share them with editorial, marketing, and sales teams to support continuous improvement and growth

Your Profile

University degree or equivalent qualification

Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills

Highly willing to travel within the assigned region

Good knowledge of the higher education landscape

Confident, professional, and solution-oriented in interactions with academic stakeholders

Comfortable working across multiple disciplines and engaging with customers in German, French, and English

Entrepreneurial mindset with enthusiasm for developing new business opportunities rather than working within a narrowly defined role

Digitally confident and motivated to contribute to Pearson’s ongoing transformation in digital learning and educational technology
