Boston Globe Media is seeking a Creative Strategy Coordinator to support the team in operational management, creative strategy, and branded content development. This role is ideal for someone highly organized, proactive, and collaborative, with a passion for digital media, storytelling, and innovative advertising solutions.
Responsibilities
Assist in maintaining a clear RFP intake process, ensuring timeline, scope, budget, and deliverables are defined upfront
Schedule internal intake calls for RFPs and set up project email chains
Track internal deadlines for RFP creation and sales materials
Maintain seasonal calendars
Lead collection and consolidation of editorial initiatives, including deadlines for stakeholders
Coordinate workflows between teams as needed
Assist in tracking win loss rates on pitches and collecting feedback on what drove the win/loss
Maintain a shared project management system (Monday.com) and clear approval workflows alongside leadership
Conduct regular touchpoints with teams to understand launch dates, and what elements can be sponsored
Support alignment between Sales, Account Managers, and Pre-Sales teams to ensure projects meet timelines
Assist in the development of creative proposals for RFP responses, proactive pitches, and presentations
Contribute ideas and concepts for branded content, social campaigns, video series, and custom activations
Write copy for pitches and presentation materials as needed
Create mockups, sample social posts, content outlines, and mood boards to visualize concepts
Assist in updating media kits, evergreen sales materials, and product one-sheets
Support tracking of campaign performance metrics to inform future proposals
Help to maintain and update a library of assets and case studies, campaign examples, performance benchmarks, and sponsorship integration examples.
Manage ongoing updates to cross dept editorial and sponsored content calendars
Participate in improving internal processes for more efficient workflows and project tracking
Duties and responsibilities may change based on business needs.
Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in project coordination, creative strategy, advertising, or media
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with project management platforms such as Monday.com, Asana, or similar tools
Creative mindset with interest in branded content, social, digital, video, and multimedia storytelling
Collaborative team player with problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges
Experience supporting creative, sales, or account management teams is a plus
A willingness to adapt and be audience focused, with a curious mindset and a commitment to creating an inclusive work environment
The BGMP office is located in downtown Boston, near Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, and is easily accessible by MBTA and commuter rail lines. This position is based in Boston, and candidates should be based in the area or willing to move.
The annual salary for this role is $55,000 - $60,000.
