The Key Account Manager is responsible for growing our poppi business in multiple grocery and c-store accounts in your area. This role must provide the leadership and salesmanship to drive toward the Company’s annual business objectives. This role will sit in the Pacific North West covering Washington, Oregon and Northern California.
Responsibilities
Drive, Not Ride – Selling is at the core, with a strong ability to grow accounts.
Provides total account management; sell‑in corporate programs and brand promotions.
Utilize relationships, category and brand data, broker partners, or distributor access to secure meetings with buyers and/or retailer decision makers.
Inform Poppi field sales team and local DSDs on important retail updates for new accounts confirmed, price promotions, off‑shelf activities, and new sku authorizations. Maintain Chain Alerts.
Directs and manages space management priorities of Poppi and the account.
Utilizes sales tools (syndicated data, portal data, shelf set software, etc.)
Maintains active communications with Poppi field sales and distributors.
Contributes to the development and management of annual account plan.
Manage trade spend budget and stay within annual guardrails as a percentage of gross and net sales and ensure all plans accurately tracked on the poppi Corporate Activity Calendar
Participate in retailer trade shows, table top shows, or experiential events to form deep customer relations to make Poppi top of mind within the Buyer community.
Provide sales updates as needed to Poppi leadership on respective Customers.
Compensation and Benefits
The expected compensation range for this position is between $93,500 - $156,450.
Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.
Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Expertise in managing Customers, brokers, broad lines, and retail accounts
Demonstrates confidence & assertiveness when customer interfacing
Effective communications/presentation, follow‑up, administrative and organizational skills
Knows how to leverage data to sell an idea, make decisions, and inform critical stakeholders
Essential skills: Sales negotiation and closing, sales planning, Customer management, broker leadership & management skills, and industry knowledge
A self‑starter who is hands‑on and has a boot‑strapped mindset, and can get things done with limited resources.
Focused on driving business results, especially within an entrepreneurial and fast‑paced environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted
Minimum of three to five (3‑5) years of Customer Management industry‑related experience
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams
Full knowledge of retail initiatives (particularly category management and information‑based selling)
Field and retail sales experience in the beverage industry or other consumer product industries
Valid state driver’s license and a reliable vehicle that meets all state transportation guidelines (required)
