Summary This is an entry-level position assisting in daily Front of House operations. Maintain all aspects of the service areas and serve as a support to the Dining Room team.
Essential Functions
Demonstrate knowledge of basic dining room standards and etiquette
Polish and distribute all types of glasses and silverware
Know table numbers
Clear, set, and reset a table
Deliver food from the kitchen to the guests
Present a table side service of Cesar salad
Locate and retrieve ice
Assist with side work and cleaning before, during, and after each shift
Qualifications
Excellent communication skills
Must be at least 16 years of age
Must be well-groomed and well-presented
Must have reliable transportation
Desirable
Familiarity with Forbes Standards
Ability to communicate in a language other than English, preferably Spanish or French
Certification in alcohol awareness program
Certification in CPR
Skills
Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing
Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
Always be organized and maintain cleanliness of workstation
Speak using clear and professional language
Multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Cross-train across multiple departments and assist when needed
Assist guests with questions about the property, its history, and surrounding areas
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift 30+ lbs.
Able to stand, bend, and walk for long periods of time
Frequent or occasional need to perform reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing
