Strata-G Solutions, LLC is seeking a Proposal Lead to join our growing team in Huntsville, AL. The candidate will be responsible for leading and providing all aspects of proposal expertise to all Lines of Business to include Defense, Other Government Agencies, and Commercial activities.
About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Proposal Lead to join our Growth team. This role is critical to leading and managing proposal development efforts for U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), and other federal government and commercial solicitations. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex proposals in a small business that is a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment and has a strong understanding of successful government contracting processes (FAR/DFARS).
Job Requirements
Lead for proposal development from RFI release to submission of a proposal, ensuring compliance with solicitation requirements.
Responsible for leading teams through the proposal process and submitting fully compliant proposals that meets all requirements of RFI and RFPs.
Coordinates efforts across multiple projects simultaneously.
Interpret technical and management requirements of Federal Government solicitations (RFPs, RTEPs, RFIs, RFQs, ROMs).
Facilitates preparation of all required proposal volumes by close coordination with capture managers, technical SMEs, pricing teams, and subcontractors to gather content and ensure alignment with win strategy.
Develop and manage proposal schedules, color reviews, outlines, and compliance matrices.
Facilitate proposal kickoff meetings, color team reviews, and daily stand‑ups.
Registers the Company in appropriate portals for RFP/Bid Opportunities and Notifications.
Preparing and disseminating information regarding proposal/capture status; identifying risks and proposing solutions.
Maintain proposal artifacts, past performance, and support post‑submission activities (clarifications, BAFOs, debriefs).
Write, edit, and format proposal content, including executive summaries, management plans, and past performance.
Performs additional functions, duties, and specific tasks of a similar nature and scope as necessary to achieve assigned objectives.
Ensure proposals are compliant, compelling, and delivered on time.
Support continuous improvement of proposal processes, templates, and tools.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in business, Communications, English, or related field.
5 - 10 years of experience in federal proposal management, preferably in the defense aerospace sector.
Strong understanding of the proposal lifecycle and government procurement processes.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite and proposal tools (e.g., SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, proposal automation software).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously under tight deadlines.
U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain a security clearance if not already held.
Experience of proposal development lifecycle
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with classified proposals and secure environments.
Familiarity with Shipley or similar proposal methodologies.
Experience working in a Small Business environment with large primes or subcontractor teams.
5+ years of experience with developing and integrating Winning proposal content.
Clearance This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
