About the Role As a Manager Consulting, you will make an impact by analyzing client business challenges and objectives, developing recommendations, and chartering digital transformation journeys. You will be a valued member of the consulting team and work collaboratively with managers, primary teams, other stakeholders, and clients.
In this role, you will:
Provide consulting services, working closely with clients to solve complex business and technology challenges.
Deliver outstanding client results and facilitate client teams in implementing recommendations that drive a great customer experience.
Lead and support business development pursuits, including RFI/RFP responses and proactive proposal writing.
Serve as a product owner/product manager in agile-based software delivery of business/IT transformation projects, managing a team of junior analysts.
Lead joint working sessions with clients, develop user personas and user journeys, and construct business case scenarios in support of client agendas.
Draw conclusions from market/industry trends and competitor insights, supporting go-to-market initiatives.
Contribute to research, thought leadership articles, whitepapers, and supporting collateral.
Mentor and groom junior consultants on consulting skills, customer experience accelerators, and participation in RFP responses and discovery programs.
Build complex business cases in Excel/PPT to quantify the impact of merchandising operational shifts.
Enable implementation of AI in pricing and promotions within client environments.
Lead or support implementations of retail pricing and promotions solutions within ERP, merchandising systems, POS platforms, eCommerce and OMS solutions, and loyalty/customer engagement platforms.
Integrate pricing data across item master, store, zone, and channel hierarchies, ensuring real-time or near-real-time price synchronization.
Collaborate with integration and data teams to ensure clean, reliable pricing data flows.
Partner with merchandising, pricing, marketing, finance, and store operations teams to understand retail business needs.
Facilitate workshops to define promotion mechanics, eligibility rules, stacking logic, and exclusions.
Advise business teams on best practices for retail pricing governance and promotions execution.
Support change management, training, and rollout activities for store and corporate users.
Enable reporting and analytics for promotion effectiveness, markdown performance, margin and profitability impact, and support integration with pricing optimization and demand forecasting tools.
Identify opportunities to automate pricing and promotion decisions using data and analytics.
Advise clients on software selection within the retail tech ecosystem (e.g., Revionics, Oracle Retail, Blue Yonder, SAP).
Research and synthesize industry trends into actionable client advice.

What you must have to be considered
Master’s in Business Administration or equivalent from a reputed college.
Graduation degree from a reputed college/university.
7-15 years total experience, with a mix of Corporate Retail (Merchandising/Pricing/Planning) and Management Consulting highly preferred.
Advanced proficiency in data visualization (Tableau/PowerBI) and SQL.
Familiarity with AI/ML terminology.
Experience handling large-scale transformation projects around customer experience/e-commerce transformation programs.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and facilitating skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to apply frameworks to design and present solutions.
Experience designing user personas and user journeys.
Capability to understand the big picture.
Innovativeness and out-of-the-box thinking.
IT/Digital literacy, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently.
These will help you succeed
Subject matter expertise in Retail.

Compensation
$130,000-$160,000
This position is eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
