The Opportunity Academy of the Holy Names seeks a strategic, student‑centered Athletic Director to lead and strengthen its middle and upper school athletic programs. The next Athletic Director will build on a proud tradition of competitive success while ensuring alignment with the school’s mission, culture, and long‑term strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement a comprehensive vision for athletics aligned with AHN’s mission
Promote a culture of sportsmanship, character, and competitive integrity
Align athletic programming with broader institutional goals
Program Oversight
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate coaches and athletic staff
Oversee scheduling, facilities, budgeting, and compliance
Ensure adherence to FHSAA and other governing body requirements
Student‑Athlete Development
Champion academic success and personal growth
Support leadership development within teams
Collaborate with college counseling regarding recruitment pathways
Community Engagement
Strengthen partnerships with families, alumni, and community stakeholders
Elevate school spirit and visibility through athletics
Collaborate with Advancement and Enrollment to support storytelling and recruitment initiatives
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience leading or supporting athletic programs in an independent, private, or mission‑driven school
Strong organizational and financial management skills
Proven ability to recruit and retain talented coaches
Clear, confident communication and relationship‑building strengths
A student‑centered leadership philosophy
A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits Academy of the Holy Names offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and a comprehensive benefits package. The package may include a signing bonus and relocation assistance.
