Client Relationship Manager
CFO Leverage, Nashville, TN, United States
About CFO Leverage
CFO Leverage is a fractional CFO and bookkeeping firm exclusively serving nonprofit organizations. We partner with nonprofits to provide the financial leadership they need to fulfill their missions — without the cost of a full-time CFO. Our team is passionate, responsive, and deeply committed to the clients we serve.
Position Overview We are looking for an energetic, organized, and people-focused Client Relationship Manager (CRM) to serve as the connective tissue between our nonprofit clients and our internal accounting services team. This is not a CFO role — you don’t need to be a financial expert. You do need to be someone who thrives on communication, stays on top of details, and genuinely enjoys building relationships.
The ideal candidate is the kind of person who never lets an email fall through the cracks, shows up to every meeting prepared, and makes clients feel heard and well taken care of.
Key Responsibilities Client Communication & Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact between nonprofit clients and our accounting services team
Respond promptly to client emails and inquiries — responsiveness is a core expectation of this role
Build strong, trust‑based relationships with client contacts through consistent, professional communication
Meeting Coordination & Follow‑Through
Schedule and facilitate monthly check‑in meetings between clients and our internal team via Zoom
Take detailed meeting notes and distribute action items following each call
Track open items and follow up to ensure nothing falls through the cracks
Internal Coordination
Coordinate between clients and our fractional CFOs and bookkeepers to ensure smooth service delivery
Flag issues, questions, or client concerns to the appropriate internal team member in a timely manner
Help keep client information and communication organized and up to date
Systems & Tools
Assist clients in setting up and navigating our firm management and accounting software platforms (training provided)
Use Excel to manage and organize client data, tracking lists, and basic reporting as needed
Schedule and manage Zoom meetings and maintain organized calendar coordination
Administrative Support
Handle miscellaneous administrative tasks that support the client experience and internal operations
Help develop and improve client onboarding and communication processes over time
What We’re Looking For
Exceptionally responsive — you reply to emails quickly and follow through on commitments
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Energetic, positive attitude — you bring good energy to every client interaction
Comfortable using Zoom for scheduling and hosting virtual meetings
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (basic to intermediate)
Basic familiarity with nonprofit organizations or financial services is a plus — but not required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self‑starter who can manage their own workload with minimal oversight
What You Don’t Need to Be You do not need to be a CPA, CFO, or financial expert. This role is about relationships, communication, and coordination — not financial analysis. We will train you on the systems and software we use.
Why CFO Leverage
Work with a mission‑driven team serving nonprofits that are making a real impact in their communities
Remote‑first, flexible environment
Collaborative culture with a tight‑knit, supportive team
Opportunity to grow within a fast‑growing firm
Compensation & Benefits Starting salary: $65,000/year
Benefits discussed during the interview process.
