Role Description Charlotte City Club is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Catering Sales to lead and grow the Club’s catering and private event business. This full-time, on-site leadership role requires a dynamic sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven ability to build relationships, drive revenue, and deliver exceptional event experiences.

This role will focus heavily on developing new business opportunities, strengthening community relationships, and building a strong event sales pipeline while partnering closely with operations and culinary teams to ensure flawless event execution.

This position will require an average of approximately 50 hours per week to develop sales opportunities, support event execution, and maintain strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all catering and private event sales operations for the Club

Drive new revenue through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship-building in the Charlotte market

Oversee event planning coordination to ensure seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences

Develop strategies to meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets

Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, members, and local organizations

Collaborate with culinary, operations, and service teams to deliver high-quality events

Maintain flexibility to be present during key event and peak business periods

Qualifications

Proven experience in Catering Sales, Event Sales, or Hospitality Sales

Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales goals in a high-volume environment

Strong relationship-building and networking abilities within the local market

Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills

Minimum 2 years of catering sales or event management experience

Private club, upscale hotel, or resort experience strongly preferred

Experience with TripleSeat or similar event management software is a plus

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Hospitality preferred but not required

Compensation

Base Salary: $40,000 annually + commission

Commission Plan: Competitive and attainable, with the opportunity to double base salary within the first 12 months through strong sales performance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
