What You Will Achieve As the Director of Vaccines Portfolio Marketing External Engagement, you will report to the Portfolio Marketing External Engagement Lead. You will pull through the portfolio external engagement strategy by delivering a marketing plan that creates belief and behavior changes to support increased immunization rates.
You will work with a high‑performing cross‑functional team—Brand, Field, Medical, Retail & Access, Legal, Regulatory, Digital/Tech, Training, and Marketing CoE—and leverage key external partners to maximize budget and resources, drive best‑in‑class strategies and execution, and continuously improve performance.
Scope and Impact This work spans every Pfizer brand/asset and all key customer segments, delivering meaningful change in the external market that accelerates business objectives.

Deployment of portfolio marketing campaigns with high market impact
Exceeding annual commercial objectives
Exceeding immunization rate growth targets
Key Responsibilities
Design, deliver, and execute portfolio marketing plans to address vaccination belief and behavioral barriers to pediatric, adolescent, and adult immunizations.
Serve as the point of contact and subject‑matter expert across the U.S. vaccines business, pulling through portfolio external engagement opportunities—including closing HCP/Consumer perception gaps, improving HCP recommendation impact, and prioritizing opportunities with overlapping populations.
Partner with advertising agencies and other external partners to ensure project deliverables are achieved on time and within budget.
Collaborate with Vaccines customer‑facing and training teams on the rollout and pull‑through of customer‑facing materials.
Liaise with risk‑mitigation partners—legal, regulatory, and medical—to develop and approve marketing plans.
Contribute to achieving business‑unit revenue commitments while responsibly maximizing SI&A budget.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of sales/marketing experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Experience designing, developing, gaining approvals for, training on, and executing marketing plans and tactics.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree with 10+ years of sales/marketing experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Understanding of the vaccines business and evolving healthcare landscape, including key external stakeholder groups, customer types, population‑based recommendations, manufacturer products, and portfolios.
Limited Travel Expectations Travel may include attendance at sales meetings and field rides.
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences, including influencing and collaborating with peers, developing and coaching others, overseeing and guiding the work of colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
Work Location Assignment: On Premise.

Salary: $162,900.00 – $271,500.00 annually, plus participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan and share‑based long‑term incentive program.
