is seeking an experienced InternalCommunications Specialist
to join our Communications team inNashville! This role plays a key part in designing and executinginternal communication strategies that effectively share important information,updates, and announcements across the organization. With support from ourCommunication Assistant, the Internal Communications Specialist will bring ourpurpose and priorities to life for employees, whether they’re in the office, athome, or on job sites, ensuring they feel informed, engaged, and connected tothe business. Serving as a communications business partner to teams acrossthe company, you’ll act as an embedded partner, translating goals andinitiatives into clear, compelling messaging. A sharp eye for detail and strongwriting skills are essential as you create and manage engaging content acrossinternal channels, including the intranet (SharePoint), newsletters, emails,and company-wide announcements. This role will also play a hands-on role in evolving andmaintaining Barge's intranet, helping ensure it remains a relevant,well-organized, and engaging hub for employees. While not required, experiencesupporting or leading intranet enhancements, restructures, or refreshes,particularly within SharePoint, is strongly preferred.You’ll be part of a high-impact team that shapes culture,drives clarity, and celebrates the people and progress behind Barge. As anInternal Communications Specialist, you’ll also help foster deeper employeeengagement by aligning communications with our mission, values, and vision forthe future. Responsibilities for this position include:
Developand execute internal communication strategies that inform, engage, andalign employees. Partnerwith the Communications Assistant to coordinate distribution schedules,maintain communications calendars, and execute campaigns. Create,manage, and optimize content across internal channels, including theintranet (SharePoint), newsletters, emails, digital signage, andcompany-wide announcements. Supportthe ongoing management, organization, and enhancement of the companyintranet, ensuring content is current, accessible, and employee-focused. Serveas a communications partner to teams across the company, providingguidance and support on internal messaging. Collaboratewith HR, IT, leadership, and other departments to ensure timely, accuratecommunication of important updates. Assistin creating presentation materials, posters, and other collateral forinternal events and initiatives. Evaluatethe effectiveness of communication efforts and recommend improvements. Education & Experience Qualifications:
Bachelor’sdegree in communications, marketing, or a closely relatedfield. Minimum3-4 years’ experience in an internal communications role. Demonstratedexperience working within SharePoint; experience managing or revamping anintranet is a strong plus. Strongwritten and verbal communicationskills; a natural storyteller. Highlydetail-oriented and exceptionally organized. Creativethinker who can approach challenges with fresh ideas. Ableto manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Comfortableworking independently and collaboratively. Strongproblem-solving skills with a practical, solutions-oriented mindset. Why join us?
