Executive Protection Specialist

As an Executive Protection Specialist (EPS) you'll be responsible for providing discreet, proactive, and intelligence-led protective services for designated bank executives and conducting residential security operations. This role operates within a highly regulated financial services environment and emphasizes risk mitigation, situational awareness, professionalism, and confidentiality over overt security presence. The EPS will conduct protective intelligence, advance planning, secure transportation, and protection functions while coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners. The successful candidate demonstrates exceptional judgment, adaptability, and emotional intelligence in executive-facing environments. Responsibilities include: Supporting Senior Leadership in delivering an effective Executive Protection Operation. Providing low-profile and close protection to designated executives during business travel, public engagements, and private activities as assigned. Conducting comprehensive threat, risk, and vulnerability assessments related to executive movements, residences, offices, and events. Performing advance work, including site surveys, travel routing, and venue security coordination. Safely operating vehicles using defensive and evasive driving principles as appropriate. Providing on-site protective security at a residential location with a focus on safety, privacy, and family protection. Monitoring and managing residential security systems: cameras, alarms, access control, and perimeter sensors. Controlling access to the residence, verifying visitors, vendors, and service providers. Conducting exterior and interior patrols to identify vulnerabilities and ensure a secure environment. Responding to alarms, safety concerns, or emergency situations according to established protocols. Ensuring protective intelligence and risk management is maintained. Collecting, analyzing, and reporting threat intelligence relevant to executive safety, including insider threats and reputational risks. Partnering with internal teams (Legal, HR, Facilities, Physical Security) to address emerging threats. Maintaining accurate documentation, case notes, incident reports, and post-operation assessments. Coordinating with local, state, and federal law enforcement as needed. Serving as a professional representative of the bank during interactions with external stakeholders, venues, and government agencies. Supporting crisis management and response efforts, including emergency evacuation and business continuity plans. Maintaining strict confidentiality of executive, corporate, and personal information. Presenting a polished, executive-appropriate appearance and demeanor at all times. Demonstrating sound judgment under pressure and the ability to de-escalate situations calmly and effectively. Requirements include: 5+ years of related experience in Executive protection (corporate or private sector), Federal, state, or local law enforcement, Diplomatic security, intelligence, or specialized military protective roles with executive exposure. Prior experience supporting C-suite or high-net-worth individuals, operating in low-profile, corporate environments (financial services, professional services, or regulated industries) preferred. High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. Advanced to expert experience in Risk Based Decision Making. Ability to assess and respond to evolving threats appropriately. Advanced to expert experience in exercising emotional intelligence. Providing a professional, calm, and service-oriented approach when working with executives and their families. Advanced to expert experience in applying discretion, understanding the importance of low-visibility protection and privacy. Advanced to expert ability to adapt to changing environments including schedule changes, travel demands, and dynamic situations. Previous experience with open-source intelligence (OSINT) and threat intelligence tools. Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic security technology platforms. Federal Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) HR 218 or ability to obtain required State Certification for Concealed Carry Ability to sit, stand, walk, and drive for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to obtain and maintain State licensing and Bank-required background checks and suitability clearance. Working locations includes corporate office environments and residential and surrounding property. Must maintain a professional appearance consistent with executive business environments. Advanced speaking and writing communication skills. Valid Drivers License with clean driving record required First Aid / CPR / AED certification required Formal executive protection training (recognized EP academy or equivalent). Defensive and advanced driving training. Occasional weekend work and extended hours Occasional travel required.
