Court Clerk Position
The Court Clerk position at the City of Tucson's City Court Department is responsible for managing court records, processes legal documents, and provides administrative support to judges, attorneys, and the public. Work is performed under the supervision of the Court Supervisor. This position does not supervise. Duties and Responsibilities Serves as a point of contact for the public, attorneys, and stakeholders, offering information on court procedures, case status, and filing requirements. Maintains public records requests and certified copies. Performs research and gathers information on case information. Assists customers with filing motions, extensions, proofs, and provides extensions for returning to court. Supports judges and courtroom by preparing and organizing case files court dockets, and legal documents for hearings and trials. Drafts legal documents and submits for review. Assists with the review of specialized cases while coordinating between multiple stakeholders. Inputs citations, sentencing orders, fines, fees, mandates and proofs in the case management system. Processes accepted court proofs, extensions, and payment contracts. Ensures all data is up to date and current. Processes payments and maintains daily balanced cash drawer. Identifies fraudulent bills, ensures that checks and money orders are accurate, and posts payments in the case management system. Assists with filing, tracking, preparing and presenting data and reporting. Scans documents into case management system. All other duties as assigned Working Conditions Mostly office environment.
