
Business Development - (Nationwide Sales Territory)

Position Summary
Business Development is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within the oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, pipeline, and industrial markets. This role focuses on expanding company services including hydroblasting, pipeline construction, tank cleaning, industrial coatings, water treatment services, and NDE inspection services.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, and industrial sectors.
Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers including plant managers, procurement teams, project managers, and engineering firms.
Promote company service offerings including:
Hydroblasting
Pipeline Construction and Maintenance
Tank Cleaning
Industrial Coatings and Surface Preparation
Water Treatment Services
NDE Inspection Services
Generate qualified leads and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain long-term client relationships to support repeat business and strategic partnerships.
Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts and potential clients.
Conduct regular client visits, site tours, and networking activities.
Proposal & Contract Support
Coordinate with estimating, operations, and project management teams to develop competitive proposals and bids.
Assist in preparing project proposals, presentations, and service agreements.
Support contract negotiations and ensure alignment with company capabilities and operational capacity.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions.
Identify new service opportunities, geographic markets, and strategic partnerships.
Provide leadership with insights that support company growth strategies.
Internal Collaboration
Work closely with operations, safety, and project teams to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
Provide clear communication regarding client expectations, project scope, and timelines.
Qualifications Education
Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
Relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Experience
5+ years of business development or sales experience in the oil & gas or industrial services sector.
Proven track record of securing contracts or growing client accounts.
Experience with services such as hydroblasting, pipeline services, tank cleaning, industrial coatings, water treatment, or NDE is strongly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Strong industry relationships and networking capabilities.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to understand technical scopes of work and translate them into client solutions.
Strong organizational and strategic planning skills.
Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
Work Environment
Combination of office, field, and client site visits.
Frequent travel may be required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Ability to work in industrial environments, including refineries, plants, and pipeline job sites.
