Role Description This is a full-timerole for a Funeral Director and Embalmer based in Peoria, IL.. Responsibilities include planning and coordinating funeral services, embalming, assisting grieving families, ensuring compliance with state and company regulations, and providing exceptional customer service. The role requires maintaining a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times while guiding families through their options with respect and understanding.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Embalming and knowledge of Funeral Home operations
Experience in Family Services and providing support during times of bereavement
Strong Communication and Customer Service skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Possession of a valid Funeral Director and Embalmer license (or ability to obtain one in Illinois)
Comfortable with hybrid work arrangements and flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends as needed
Prior experience in the funeral industry is strongly preferred
