Job Summary:

INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY

Reporting to the Associate Director of University Admissions, the Assistant Director of Undergraduate & EOF Admissions assists in the planning and implementation of recruitment strategies and activities to increase enrollment of EOF students (on both NJ campuses), with responsibility for a general freshman recruitment territory. To meet this goal the incumbent will represent the University to various appropriate audiences, travel to off-campus locations, evaluate transcripts and award academic credit, interview students, review applications, attend on campus recruitment events, and respond to necessary correspondence on a variety of communication platforms. This includes, but is not limited to, the representation of the University and EOF to wide and diverse audiences, extensive travel, screening and referral of prospective EOF students to their appropriate campuses, organizing EOF interviews, processing and making admissions decisions on EOF applicants.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent work experience, plus two years related experience in college admissions.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills to interact and work effectively with a diverse student, faculty and staff population.

Ability to effectively mentor students in making appropriate educational choices.

Valid driver’s license, accessibility to a car, and the ability to travel.

Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
