CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER

WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

:

?Architects, plans, configures, deploys, maintains, and upgrades COTS/GOTS and custom toolsets to address vulnerabilities and/or implement security controls.

Applies a combination of expert engineering knowledge of enterprise IT and security solutions to design, develop and/or implement solutions to ensure they are consistent with enterprise architecture security policies and support full spectrum military cyberspace operations.

Designs, tests, and implements secure operating systems, networks, security monitoring, tuning and management of IT security systems and applications, incident response, digital forensics, loss prevention, and eDiscovery actions.

Includes security control design and solution planning at the system, mission, and enterprise level, security-in-depth/defense-in-depth, and other related IAM/ISSO/ISSE support functions.

Involved in a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access.

Researches and evaluates cyber capabilities and new security tools and products against operational requirements and introduces them to the enterprise in alignment with IT security strategy, and to support the offensive and defensive capability design and troubleshoot and problem solve technical and non-technical issues.

Required Education and Experience: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Bachelor's Degree + 14 years of experience

Certification: 8570 Information Assurance Management (IAM) or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III certification.

Required Skills:

A minimum of five years of experience leading DoW and IC risk management activities, including implementation of DoW and IC RMFs.

Senior Trellix Cybersecurity Engineer with RMF ISSO expertise

to architect, implement, and manage a comprehensive Trellix security environment while supporting

RMF compliance activities

for a

high-visibility Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) mission

focused on

AI/ML development and securing advanced data systems .

Primary Responsibilities:

Architect, install, configure, and manage

Trellix ePO and associated modules

from initial deployment to operational sustainment.\nIntegrate Trellix with

Microsoft SQL

databases, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security compliance.\nDevelop and implement

STIG hardening

for all systems associated with Trellix deployment, including endpoints, servers, and databases.\nConfigure and manage endpoint security, DLP, threat prevention, and advanced Trellix modules to support CDAO AI/ML mission security requirements.\nConduct vulnerability assessments and remediate findings to maintain system compliance with DoD and CDAO security standards.\nDevelop operational documentation, SOPs, and as-built configurations for sustainment.\nCollaborate with security teams, system administrators, and data engineers to integrate Trellix into AI/ML workflows securely.\nProvide Tier III support and subject matter expertise for all Trellix-related issues and projects.\nAdditional Duties - RMF ISSO Roles & Responsibilities:
