Position Summary
Fundamental Administrative Services, LLC is searching for a Regional Maintenance Director to work with client skilled nursing centers located across Maryland.
Position is based in Maryland.
Wage Commensuration The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
Duties & Responsibilities This working position will be responsible for ensuring client facilities are in compliance with all policies and procedures surrounding environmental services. Will provide training and development for proper equipment use/record keeping, protective gear, safety precautions as well as documentation requirements. Will tour the facilities regularly, meeting with stakeholders, preparing and communicating scorecards for continuous improvement of operations. Maintains expense/materials management for each location ensuring budget compliance for supplies. Reports, equipment/cleaning product needs and solutions while adhering to all safety precautions at facility. Implements and monitors state-wide cleaning schedule to ensure compliance to all state and federal regulations.
Capital Improvement Projects: assisting with renovations, roof replacements, and HVAC upgrades across multiple sites.
Budget Oversight: Supporting Maintenance Directors and ensuring individual buildings stay within financial projections.
Vendor Management: Assist in negotiating regional contracts to support Facilities
Compliance & Life Safety
Survey Readiness: Ensuring every building is "always ready" for state and federal (CMS) inspections.
Life Safety Code (NFPA 101): Monitoring strict adherence to fire codes, smoke barrier integrity, and emergency exit lighting and overall Life Safety K Tags
Emergency Preparedness: Developing and testing disaster recovery plans, including backup generator reliability and evacuation logistics.
Operational Support & Standardization
Preventative Maintenance (PM): Implementing standardized PM across the region to track the lifespan of facility equipment, boilers, chillers, and kitchen equipment.
Site Audits: Conducting regular physical inspections of buildings and grounds to identify deferred maintenance
Leadership & Training
Talent Development: Recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring local Maintenance Directors.
Training: Educating staff on new building technologies, energy‑saving initiatives, and safety protocols.
Risk Management: Investigating workplace accidents or facility failures and implementing corrective action plans
Qualifications & Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
5+ years of experience in Environmental Services in a leadership/supervisory position, multi‑site experience is highly preferred
Must be able to work as scheduled and on time with limited supervision
Must possess positive attitude with the ability to follow oral and written instructions
Knowledge of state and federal regulations (CMS)
Must be able and willing to travel extensively via personal automobile – overnight travel will be required
