Role Description
The Communications Coordinator leads all of the association’s internal and external communications and outreach, communicating the value that ETNR provides to its members and the general public through policy advocacy, professional development, community building and contributing to the region’s economic wellbeing.
The Coordinator designs and executes the association’s communications strategy and collaborates with staff, members, external vendors and community partners to maintain ETNR’s reputation as a trusted regional authority in real estate.
Responsibilities
Position ETNR as the regional authority on real estate, development and housing and seek opportunities to highlight its membership’s expertise, professionalism and ethics
Create and execute annual communications strategic plan for all ETNR channels, including member outreach and external communications, in collaboration with staff and external public relations vendor
Manage ETNR’s social media presence by executing annual strategic plan and seeking timely opportunities for relevant content creation
Coordinate and execute media-related activities such as drafting press releases, coordinating interviews and applying for awards
Maintain up-to-date materials on ETNR’s website that reflect association activities and priorities
Manage ETNR’s external public relations firm and contract, maximizing value
Maintain relationships with media outlets, reporters, editors and other industry professionals
Create simple graphics and videos for use on ETNR channels and work with external vendors for in-depth visual projects
Expediently draft and post urgent notices as needed
Collaborate with state and National REALTOR® associations to share resources, promote aligned messaging, and support joint communication initiatives
Stay informed about emerging media trends and assist with identifying new opportunities to expand media presence
Participate in state and national training and networking opportunities as a representative of the association, maintaining ETNR’s stellar reputation among industry colleagues
Attend occasional after-hours ETNR events to capture content
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Proactive working style with excellent time management skills
Extremely proficient in written and oral communication and editing
Familiarity with AP Style
Demonstrated proficiency in digital and social media content, primarily Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and TikTok
Proficiency in Canva and CapCuts or comparable social media graphic tools
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field
1-3 years of relevant experience in media relations, communications, or public affairs (internships may be considered)
Experience supporting events and media coordination preferred
Salary and title commensurate with experience
