
Associate Brand Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Associate Brand Manager (ABM) at Jinx will play a critical cross-functional role in the organization, helping transform Jinx into a powerhouse CPG player in the pet space. The ABM role is responsible for driving brand growth, supporting product innovation, and executing integrated marketing initiatives across retail and digital channels.
The ABM will partner cross-functionally with Creative, Sales, Product Innovation, Supply Chain, and external agency partners to ensure flawless execution across packaging, retail marketing, promotional programs, and new product launches.
The ABM position requires prior CPG experience and familiarity with managing external agencies, briefing creative, project management, point-of-sale consumption data analysis, and P&L exposure. Consumer Insights and Shopper Marketing experience is a plus. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial CPG environments and is eager to take ownership of key brand initiatives. This role is intended to be based in Austin, TX with the expectation of in-person days a few days a week.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Tell stories with data - Responsible for analyzing syndicated data (Nielsen), internal sales data, and retailer performance to translate findings into actionable recommendations
Lead workstreams for new product launches, line extensions, and packaging updates
Develop product briefs rooted in consumer insights and category trends
Manage packaging updates including claims, copy, regulatory compliance, and artwork approvals
Support development and execution of annual brand plans aligned to business objectives
Translate brand positioning into compelling product claims, packaging, and retail storytelling
Partner with creative teams and agencies to brief and deliver marketing assets
Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints (retail, ecommerce, social, shopper marketing)
Support development of sell-in materials and retailer presentations
Assist in execution of retail programs (endcaps, PDQs, seasonal displays, etc.)
Partner with Sales on key customer initiatives and trade marketing strategies
Conduct competitive audits and category landscape reviews
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
2–4 years of experience in CPG marketing, brand management, or related function (pet experience a plus)
Experience working with syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI, Circana preferred)
Strong analytical and financial acumen
Excellent cross-functional project management skills
Detail-oriented with strong communication abilities
Experience supporting product launches preferred
Startup/early stage/mid-sized experience is a plus
Experience in paid media including performance marketing and omni-channel tactics. Paid Social and CTV media experience preferred
MBA preferred
Authorization to work in the U.S. required
