About this Role

The Carbon Markets Manager will shape and execute Cascade’s strategy to unlock high-integrity carbon markets as a climate impact tool. This role involves interdisciplinary work across carbon removal and super pollutant mitigation efforts, focusing on market analysis, partnerships, and implementation. The successful candidate will foster understanding of how markets can drive real climate outcomes and assist in interventions needed to correct market shortfalls. The role includes collaborating with colleagues across science, policy, and market development while establishing relationships with external partners. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, strategic judgment, and a pragmatic, impact-oriented mindset. They will be instrumental in transforming market insights into actionable engagements across buyers, suppliers, registries, and standards. Responsibilities

Own market sizing and market intelligence efforts across key demand pools. Track trends, eligibility rules, and policy developments to inform strategy. Drive voluntary super pollutant opportunities in partnership with market actors. Conduct market analysis and support stakeholder engagement for refrigerant management work. Monitor GHG accounting frameworks and standards that affect strategies. Evaluate and develop opportunities to expand Cascade’s claims and methods. Translate technical project methodologies into clear recommendations. Prepare strategic planning materials for conferences and engagements. Requirements

3+ years of experience in carbon markets or a related field. Degree in business, economics, international development, or similar. Expertise in qualitative and quantitative analyses and market research. Technical literacy around carbon markets. Collaborative and effective at cross-functional work. Strong writing and communication skills. Experience in stakeholder relationship management. Benefits
