Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and technically driven Inside Sales Engineer to support our municipal pumps and rotating equipment business. This role is ideal for someone who finds success in providing technical solutions, supporting customers, and contributing to sales growth.
In this position, you will deliver product and application support for pumps, seals, chemical feed systems, blowers, and related equipment. You will work closely with field sales, customers, and internal teams to develop opportunities, prepare proposals, and ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical and application support to field sales representatives and municipal customers
Review customer specifications and project requirements
Perform pump sizing and equipment selection
Assist with support equipment selection and system recommendations
Prepare detailed proposals and quotations
Support order processing and project management activities
Coordinate with customer service and operations to ensure accurate and timely project execution
Research and identify new municipal sales opportunities
Participate in ongoing technical and professional development opportunities
Qualifications Experience
2-5 years in technical sales and/or inside sales environment
Project management experience
Previous experience with ERP and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechnical Engineering (preferred)
Equivalent experience with mechanical or rotating equipment will be considered
Desired Skills
Strong mechanical aptitude and technical problem-solving ability
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to perform effectively under pressure and be proactive
