The Treasure Valley Family YMCA is seeking a dynamic Senior Director of Business Development to join our team! This newly established position is responsible for driving association growth by strategically connecting community and corporate needs with YMCA youth development, member services, and program offerings. This role leads the expansion of strategic corporate initiatives, including childcare and membership, through cultivating high-value partnerships, negotiating service agreements, and ensuring exceptional partner and participant experiences.

Responsibilities

Working closely with Senior and Executive Leadership, the Senior Director develops innovative strategies, operational models, and implementation plans that support the YMCA’s mission and long-term sustainability.

Business Development

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development plan aligned with association goals, with a primary focus on the Childcare Co-Op Program- increasing access to high-quality childcare, systems-building with long-term sustainability, and increasing business and community engagement.
  • Partner with Senior and Executive leadership to ensure strategic alignment, operational feasibility, and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead corporate development efforts to achieve key milestones, including annual enrollment goals.
  • Collaborate with Youth Development leadership and cross-departmental stakeholders to successfully launch and scale new corporate childcare offerings.

Corporate Relationship Management & Service Excellence

  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with corporate partners, ensuring a high-quality and responsive experience.
  • Anticipate partner needs and provide proactive solutions that enhance engagement and increase program utilization.
  • Collaborate with partners on marketing strategies to increase visibility, awareness, and enrollment in YMCA programs.
  • Represents the YMCA professionally while nurturing mutually beneficial long-term partnerships.

Program Development

In coordination with the Early Childhood Development team, support the design and coordinate the start-up tools for the Employer Childcare COOP Model, including:

  • Corporate participation framework
  • Service agreement templates
  • Pricing models
  • Enrollment processes.

This position will serve as an active member of the Treasure Valley Early Learning Collaborative Leadership team to identify and enhance systems, services and resources that are essential to supporting children birth through five years and their families with an emphasis on services and resources that support early childhood educators, early care and education programs and early learning initiatives and events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Public Administration, Education, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of progressive experience in business development partnership management, or organizational growth roles.
  • Demonstrated success in developing strategic partnerships, developing and negotiating contracts and launching new programs.
  • Strong communication, relationship building and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of community resources and the ability to engage and partner these resources with the YMCA to meet strategic objectives.
  • Must be an articulate representative of the YMCA.
